Wing It with Eyeliner

You don't need much more than a wing and a prayer to achieve the hottest new trend in eye makeup. We're talking about giving your peepers a seductive set of wings. Whether you're going for a day or night look, spread your wings. Wings open up the eyes, giving them a bigger and brighter appearance. For starters, you'll need sheer eyeshadow, black eyeliner and mascara. Beauty experts suggest you find the type of liner with which you're most comfortable working. Gel-based eyeliners tend to work best, although liquid or crayon liners will also do the trick. Go for a brand that's both smudgeproof and waterproof. Remove all makeup from the eyes to get a fresh start. Apply a layer of sheer eyeshadow from the eyelid to below the eyebrow.

Pad inner corners of the eye with more eyeshadow to make it even lighter. Begin applying eyeliner from the inner corner of the eye. Extend the line past the outer corner of the eye. For a more dramatic look, go out even further. You may even bring the liner out to the end of the eyebrow. Keep in mind that you want to ensure the lines are even so that you don't have a sloppy look. Repeat the procedure on the other eye. Once you're finished, finish off the look by applying a couple of quick layers of mascara.
