There's nothing wrong with dancing and having a few drinks - as long as it's not every single night of the week. The Hippie is the lady who is perpetually unkempt. She shaves minimally, doesn't wear much makeup, and her hair is in a state of perpetual chaos. It's possible you might smell the Hippie coming, and you'll definitely hear her.
While it's great to be vocal about causes that are important to you, they shouldn't overrun your life and relationships.
