Ingredients
For 12 people
64 ounce(s) lean beef roast
1can beef consomme'
1low-sodium beef bouillon cube
1/8 teaspoon(s) bay leaves
1/2 teaspoon(s) whole white peppercorns or 4 whole peppercorns
1/8 teaspoon(s) dried rosemary, crushed
1 teaspoon(s) dried thyme
1 teaspoon(s) garlic powder
12slices french bread
Directions
Trim and discard all visible fat from roast.
Place in crock pot.
Combine beef consomme, bouillon and spices; pour over roast. Add water to almost cover.
Cover and cook on LOW for 10 to 12 hours or until meat is very tender Remove meat; strain and reserve broth.
