Most women rely on makeup to improve their looks, not detract from them, and that includes creating a youthful appearance. But did you know that your makeup can also age you prematurely? Using the wrong colors and techniques can add years, so listen up to shave some time off your face. Start with the color of your foundation. Skin becomes more pallid and thinner as we age, so not only do you need more coverage, but the tone of your foundation also should change. If you want a gradual change, then try buying the next shade darker than your usual color and mixing the two. You can use less and less of the paler shade until you get your desired warmer color. If you prefer a super creamy foundation, then be careful. Many women compensate for older skin's dryness with a creamier foundation, but because they're packed with pigment, you may look overdone.
