Hair Dryer-Free Hairdos

Some days, it's just nicer to give your hair a break from all the heat you give it, whether from blow-drying, flat ironing, curling or whatever. But how can you go from towel-dried hair to looking stylish enough to leave the house? The first step is to have the right haircut. The beachy, wavy look is very hot right now, and the best way to achieve the look is to start with medium-length layered hair. A few wispy bangs frame the face well with this look, too. Towel dry hair and apply a volumizing cream. Scrunch hair in your hands and let dry. Once dry, comb through and smooth some anti-frizz serum on flyaways. Spray, scrunch and you're good to go! If you'd like to add a thin headband for pizzazz, you can do that with this do. Feel free to take it into a loose ponytail at the nape of your neck if you'd rather. If you're in the mood for an updo, then a sleek, tight bun is always elegant and in fashion, especially with the ballet-inspired trends that are hot right now. Ponytails are perfect when you don't feel like drying your hair. Towel dry and apply smoothing cream from the roots out to the tips of hair. Slick back, leaving out one small section of hair. Secure with an elastic, and wrap the extra section around the elastic to conceal it.
Use anti-frizz serum to smooth down the ponytail if needed, and smooth flyaways with hairspray. Braids - either one or two braided low to either side of the neck - are hot right now, too. Allow the braid and the rest of the hair to be somewhat messy. The tousled, relaxed look is the way to go with this hairstyle. Want natural, heat-less curls? Try rag curlers - they're simply paper or fabric torn into strips. Run a good styling product for curls or mousse through towel-dried hair. Take small sections of hair and twist, then roll around the strip. Tie the strip to secure, and you can either sleep on the curls or wait until they're dry. Finger style dry hair and use an anti-frizz serum if needed. Spray to hold curls. And there you have it - some cool dos that take the heat off your hair.
