Apple Bran Muffins
These bran muffins are going to be the apple of your eye. They offer the great taste of your favorite breakfast cereal, only prepared in a muffin. Tastes great, less filling.
Ingredients
For 12 people
- 1 1/4 cup(s) flour
- 3 teaspoon(s) baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon(s) salt
- 2 cup(s) raisin bran cereal
- 1 cup(s) fat free milk
- 1/2 cup(s) applesauce
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1/3 cup(s) firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 tablespoon(s) butter, melted
Directions
Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in large bowl; let stand 3 minutes. Stir in egg, applesauce, sugar and butter. Add to flour mixture; stir just until moistened. (Batter will be lumpy.) Spoon batter into muffin pan sprayed with no stick cooking spray, filling each cup 2/3 full. Bake at 400 degrees F for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
