Chili Red Beans
Spice up your supper and enjoy every bite. You will go red in the face over how good a dish this is! A big load of flavored beans with beef and onions in a hot spicy dish. Bean there done that and then come back for seconds!
Ingredients
For 1 people
- 2 tablespoon(s) vegetable oil
- 1 cup(s) chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 32 ounce(s) coarsely ground chuck
- 1 1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
- 3 tablespoon(s) chili powder
- 3 teaspoon(s) ground cumin
- 2 teaspoon(s) Worcestershire sauce
- 3 teaspoon(s) sugar
- 3 cup(s) tomato sauce
- 16 floz water
- 4 cup(s) red kidney beans, drained
- 2 tablespoon(s) Tabasco sauce
- 1/2 cup(s) Shredded cheese
- 10 crackers
Directions
- In heavy saucepan, heat vegetable oil over medium heat until warm. Add onions and garlic and saut until soft. Add beef and salt. Cook until beef is browned throughout. Drain excess fat.
- Add chili, cumin, Worcestershire, tomato sauce, sugar and water. Bring pot to low boil and simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add red kidney beans and simmer 15 minutes. Add Tabasco sauce to taste, and more salt if desired.
- Top with shredded cheese and serve with crackers.
