Creamy Italian Crockpot Chicken
Make them believe you slaved over a hot stove all day! This recipe is zesty and tasty every time and no one will guess that the crockpot did all the work. Pour over your favorite pasta for a delicious meal.
Ingredients
For 6 people
- 6 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
- 8 ounce(s) bottle Italian salad dressing
- 1 1/2 cup(s) can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup(s) chicken broth or stock
- 8 ounce(s) package cream cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) dried thyme
- 1 dash(es) salt
- 1 dash(es) pepper
Directions
In a crock-pot, combine the chicken breasts and Italian dressing. Cover, and cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours. Drain off the juices, and shred the chicken. In a bowl, mix the soup, broth/stock, cream cheese, basil, thyme, salt, and pepper. Pour over the chicken in the slow cooker. Continue cooking on Low for another hour.
If cutting fat and calories, consider using lower fat options for the cream cheese, salad dressing, or soup.
