Special Breakfast Casserole
Ready to be egged on? This traditional breakfast casserole just got elevated to the next level with the addition of sausage and shrooms. A medley of mouthwatering flavors, it is definitely all it is cracked up to be.
Ingredients
For 8 people
- 24 ounce(s) sausage
- 6 slices bread, cubed
- 1 1/2 cup(s) shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 eggs
- 1 teaspoon(s) salt
- 2 cup(s) milk
- 1 teaspoon(s) dry mustard
- 1/2 cup(s) mushroom pieces, drained
- 1/4 cup(s) green bell pepper, diced
- 1/4 cup(s) green onion, diced
Directions
Crumble and fry the sausage, drain. Layer bread in bottom of 9 x 13 inch well-greased baking pan. Sprinkle sausage over bread. Add cheese. Beat eggs and mix with remaining ingredients. Pour slowly over cheese. Refrigerate overnight. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes and serve.
