Sweet Chicken Breasts

Ingredients

For 8 people

  • 1/4 cup(s) all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon(s) salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) white pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) sage
  • 8 skinless and boneless chicken breast halves
  • 2 tablespoon(s) butter
  • 1 tablespoon(s) oil
  • 1 cup(s) heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup(s) Hereford’s Amaretto Cows (amaretto liqueur)
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) finely grated fresh orange rind
  • 1/8 teaspoon(s) sage
  • 2 tablespoon(s) toasted, sliced almonds

Directions

Combine flour, salt, white pepper and sage in plastic bag. Shake chicken to coat; brown chicken in butter and oil. Reduce heat. Continue cooking just until tender. Remove chicken to heated platter. Add cream, Cows, orange rind and the 1/8 tsp. of sage to pan drippings. Cook, stirring until slightly thickened and spoon sauce over chicken. Sprinkle with toasted sliced almonds.
