We see them everywhere, regardless of the temperature outside. They're scarves, and they seem to be around everyone's necks, even in the summer. With so many styles, textures and materials, scarves are proving to be a versatile accessory that adds a punch of color all year round. They dress up the simplest outfits - think t-shirts and jeans, little black dresses and so much more. Scarves come in so many styles, so how do you know which is best for your wardrobe? Thankfully, they're economical and can take the place of earrings and necklaces when you accessorize. In warmer weather, you can choose from a shorter length or lighter, airier material such as a loose, cotton knit. In cooler weather, go with denser fabrics and longer lengths for warmth. Long scarves look great when looped once around the neck loosely, then tied loosely in the middle. The long middle line creates a slimming effect, and the neck loops allow warmth.
