They say that breaking up is hard to do -- but that's not always the case. Calling it quits with your significant other doesn't have to be a messy affair. While the end of some romances might be the result of infidelity, abuse or something ugly, some relationships just run their course. As times change and people change, so do the dynamics of the relationship. Whether it's mutual or initiated by one party or another, there are still ways to ease the blow. For starters, handle the split like a man -- or a woman. Give that person the courtesy of a face-to-face finale. Anything less -- phone, email, text, instant messenger, third party -- is nothing short of cowardly. He or she deserves some sort of closure and the opportunity to discuss the end your chapter together.
