Don't Let Rainy (Or Snowy) Days Get You Down

When the whining begins, make a bowl of popcorn and put in a movie. That's sure to kill at least two hours. Feel like tackling a new project? How about some spring cleaning? Recruit your children and make it out with the old. Weed out clothes that don't fit. Clean out toys and games that are no longer used. Entice your children to lend a helping hand. The prospect of a homemade cup of hot chocolate might be enough to lure them in. In the mood for domestic bliss? Have a bakeoff. From cookies to brownies to breads, the possibilities are endless. Most kids can't help but enjoy some time in the kitchen, especially if the payoff is edible. The key is to use your imagination. Who says there's nothing to do?
