Another study found that 200 participants who wore pedometers reduced body fat, improved blood pressure and increased their fitness levels. Pedometers some level of accountability because people actually see how much exercises they're taking in every day. They're more likely to set daily goals and stick to them. While you could probably reap similar results by recording how much exercise you do every day, the pedometer measures every step you take and every move you make. Remember, there are plenty of ways to walk the walk. Go the extra mile by taking the stairs, parking further away or even going for a stroll during your lunch hour. Where there's a will, there's a way to work in those extra steps every day.
